Casual Opportunities – School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences
The Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET) is a vibrant centre of learning, teaching, and research across various engineering and science disciplines. The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences offers world-class, practical education and training to future animal and veterinary scientists. It is home to South Australia’s only veterinary school and veterinary teaching hospital.
We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to support our Semester 2 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, starting Monday, 21 July 2025.
Application Process:

2. Ensure you meet the essential criteria:
1. Conferral of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field.
2. Good technical knowledge of the course content.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical information.
4. Availability and flexibility to meet the course's minimum hourly requirements.
5. Ability to work collegially to support excellent teaching.
6. Australian citizenship or valid Australian work visa.*
Note: To comply with the Australian Qualifications Framework, applicants should hold a qualification at least one level higher than the course level. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered. Please consider this when indicating your preferences.
*Please note: Evidence of Australian citizenship or work rights must be provided.
Additional desirable criteria include:
1. Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
2. Teaching qualifications or formal training.
3. Previous casual work experience within the School.
4. Proven ability to educate or mentor students.
5. Positive student feedback.
6. Good feedback from course coordinators.
