Managing a contract of over 5,000 properties as well as a team of supervisors and operatives, the role is to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the contract, to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring the service delivered achieves agreed levels of profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work in partnership with clients to exceed operational and business expectations. Overall responsibility for management and motivation of full-time staff and contractors.
2. Ensure profit and performance targets are achieved.
3. Liaise and develop relationships with the client's representatives and resident groups.
4. Monitor the performance of the contract and ensure that Key Performance Indicators are achieved.
5. Manage resources to ensure efficiency and contractual obligations are maintained.
6. Monitor progress of the contract to ensure works are correct and meet the specified standards. Promote safety culture within the business unit.
7. Manage a team of Contract Supervisors/Supervisors and liaise with Administrators and Resident Liaison Officers to meet contractual expectations. Responsible for mentoring and developing employees.
8. Ensure works are completed on time and to a high standard. Maintain reports on progress and performance.
9. Monitor management systems and processes to ensure targets are achieved.
10. Key Knowledge: Formal qualification and training within the Construction industry. Understanding of principles within contract management. Ability to adapt to a busy workload. Prioritize tasks to meet changing schedules. Strong management skills and ability to motivate teams. Experience in result-driven environments. Ability to resolve complex issues creatively. Knowledge of building maintenance and repairs. Trade background preferred. Knowledge of Health and Safety, IOSH, CSCS, Scaffold Management, SMSTS.
11. Key Skills: Good communication, IT literacy, system-driven, proactive.
12. Key Information: Manage communication with other teams. Complete worksheets and reports. Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and various conditions. Work as part of a team and mentor colleagues. Comply with HR policies and Health & Safety legislation. Promote equality and diversity. Be flexible and undertake tasks as required. Support sustainability and environmental policies. Perform duties as directed by line managers.
