Location: The Corby Sixth Form
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £31,930 and £36,878 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, Teacher's pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year

About the role:
We are currently seeking a Teacher in Business and Economics to join our Sixth Forms department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Teacher, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
* Teaching & Learning - Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that develop students' knowledge and skills, while fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
* Assessment & Progress - Provide timely feedback, track student progress, and contribute to retention and success targets through effective assessment and reporting.
* Curriculum & Enrichment - Support curriculum development, organise extracurricular activities, and contribute to student enrichment and enhancement programmes.
* Collaboration & Communication - Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and promotional events, while maintaining strong communication with students, staff, and families.
* Safeguarding & Compliance - Uphold safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and professional development standards in line with statutory and college policies.
About you:
* Qualifications & Subject Expertise - Holds a relevant degree, Certificate in Education (or equivalent), and GCSEs in English and Maths; has current A Level teaching experience and strong subject knowledge.
* Teaching Excellence - Demonstrates a successful track record in delivering high-quality teaching and learning, using ILT effectively, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy.
* Communication & Teamwork - Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, works well in diverse teams, and contributes positively to the Sixth Form's image and community engagement.
* Adaptability & Professionalism - Shows flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to work under pressure and meet high performance standards.
* Safeguarding & Values - Committed to safeguarding, equality, and health & safety; maintains professional boundaries and aligns with the Sixth Form's values and expectations.

The Corby Sixth Form offers a wide range of subjects and courses, including A-level subjects like maths, English Literature, sciences, humanities, and languages, as well as Diploma courses in areas like business, health & social care, and more.
