Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.
As the face of Tesco out on the road, you’ll deliver to customers at their homes, with a focus on great service, flexibility and teamwork. This role is hands-on, physical and varied, with support from managers and colleagues back at base.

About the role
Availability Window: the periods during the week we’d like you to be available to work. We will schedule contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks’ notice of shifts. We aim to be flexible if your availability closely matches the advertised times.

Pay
Pay starts from £13.35 per hour, rising to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Responsibilities
* Deliver your part of the customer shopping trip by keeping the van and trays clean, tidy and organised.
* Leave the back yard clean and free of rubbish; pick up litter as needed.
* Wash trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Load and check the van for roadworthiness; communicate any changes to the customer’s order, including substitutions and refunds if needed.
* Care for products/deliveries as if their own; deliver within the customer’s time slot.
* Call the customer before arrival if early; call the store/centre if you are more than 30 minutes late.
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and support a customer‑focused store.
* Be warm and welcoming with customers and colleagues; understand customer needs and express appreciation.
* Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and store conditions; be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations.
* Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues to improve the store for customers.
* Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
