Clinical Role
You will support the lead psychologist in promoting psychological perspectives on the ward. Responsibilities include offering assessments, formulations, and interventions to the men, facilitating skills-based groups such as mindfulness, and supporting the wider MDT in developing individual positive support plans with service users.
You will assist in implementing a trauma-informed approach by co-facilitating Team Formulation meetings and Reflective Practice sessions. Administrative tasks include preparing notes on individuals' backgrounds, data input, and spreadsheet management.
You will receive clinical and line management supervision from a Practitioner Psychologist and participate in peer supervision with other Assistant Psychologists.

Prospect Place is part of the Rehabilitation and High Support Care Hub in Pennine Care, located at Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale. It is a 45-bed low secure unit for men aged 18-65 with diagnosed psychotic disorders detained under the Mental Health Act, often with alcohol and drug misuse issues. A secure setting helps address challenges related to their illness and vulnerabilities.
Free parking is available at Birch Hill Hospital, with dedicated office space.
