Role: IT Resource Manager Domain: Oil & Gas Location : London (Hybrid, 3 days per week) X4 Technology are partnered with a world-leading oil & gas organisation to offer an exciting opportunity for a Resource Manager (IT) to join their growing IT Workforce Planning function. You’ll be at the heart of managing resource allocation across a broad portfolio of IT programmes, including Trading & Supply, Innovation Technology, Energy Services, Crude & Product Markets, Digital Engineering, Information Services and Workforce Productivity. Responsibilities of the Resource Manager (IT): Build trusted relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders to proactively capture and forecast resourcing requirements Manage resource allocation and demand matching across multiple IT teams, geographies and delivery streams Act as the critical link between IT project teams and central capacity planning, ensuring the right skills are in place at the right time Partnering with onboarding teams to ensure smooth, timely onboarding from contract setup to day-one readiness Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise IT resource performance and support broader IT workforce optimisation objectives Leverage Power BI to deliver data-driven insights on IT resource utilisation, capability trends, performance metrics and future skills forecasting Requirements of the Resource Manager (IT): 5 years’ experience in IT Resource Management (or equivalent) Expertise across capability analysis, demand validation, workforce planning, contractor sourcing, recruitment process optimisation and onboarding. Strong understanding of IT disciplines, roles and workforce strategies. Proven ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships in complex, global environments. Skilled in reporting, analytics and performance insights using Power BI or similar tools. Exceptional attention to detail and process accuracy. The role is advertised on a contract basis to expedite onboarding. In practice, it is viewed as a long-term, stable opportunity - offering the scope, impact, growth potential and ongoing development of a permanent role. Many team members enjoy extended tenures (4 years), with a demonstrable track record of conversion to permanent positions. The rate for this position is £400–500 per day (inside IR35), depending on experience, and the working model is hybrid, with 3days per week in central London.
