GSL Education are seeking a committed Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and well-established school in Rotherham. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and creating a structured, positive learning environment. You will supervise lessons, ensure students stay focused, and provide support to maintain a productive classroom when the teacher is absent.

Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
* Lead Classrooms: Supervise and manage lessons in the absence of a teacher.
* Follow Lesson Plans: Deliver pre-set work across a variety of subjects at the secondary level.
* Encourage Learning: Keep students engaged and motivated throughout the day.
* Maintain Order: Manage behaviour and ensure a respectful and supportive environment.
* Provide Feedback: Share student progress and classroom behaviour updates with teachers.
* Support the School Community: Assist with break-time supervision and other school duties when needed.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Confident in managing a classroom and keeping students focused.
* Passionate about education and helping students succeed.
* Great communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* Experience working with young people (preferred but not essential).
* A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not required.
* Able to adapt and deliver pre-planned lessons in different subjects.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
