Overview
We’re looking for a forward-thinking Project Engineer to lead the development of Head-Up Display (HUD) systems across our vehicle programmes. This role sits within our Cockpit Electronics team in R&D, where innovation meets precision in the design and delivery of cutting-edge automotive technologies.
Responsibilities
* Act as the technical authority for HUDs and oversee the full lifecycle from concept and supplier engagement through to launch and post-production support.
* Define specifications, drive integration across vehicle platforms, and ensure HUDs meet performance, cost, and quality targets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infotainment, Instrument Clusters, Trim, and Glazing, as well as Tier 1 suppliers.
* Lead packaging studies, safeguard visibility zones, and resolve technical challenges during development and validation.
* Support vehicle builds through various phases; travel may be required to support testing and supplier engagement globally.
Qualifications
* Strong engineering background with hands-on experience in HUD or advanced display systems.
* Solid grasp of automotive development processes; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
* Familiarity with optical systems, simulation tools, and diagnostics is a plus.
* An engineering degree or equivalent experience is essential.
Travel
Travel may be required to support testing and supplier engagement globally.
