This role will play a key part in that transition.
You will inherit an established test function, work closely with experienced engineers, and help introduce structured automated testing practices where appropriate.

* Carrying out system-level software testing
* Testing software directly on industrial equipment and machinery
* Designing and implementing automated test scripts or frameworks
* Supporting structured validation documentation
* Contributing to a longer-term automation strategy

* Exposure to test automation tools or frameworks
* Ability to write scripts in Python, C#, or similar languages
* Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray etc.)
* Understanding of version control and release processes
* Experience working in regulated or quality-focused environments beneficial
The Environment
This is an engineering-led SME, not a large corporate DevOps environment.
You will have the opportunity to:
* Build automation capability from the ground up
* Help modernise an existing manual testing process
* Develop into a technical lead within the test function
Hybrid working is supported, but candidates must be able to attend site near Salisbury when equipment-based testing is required .
