National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) are seeking a Future Network Analyst who will carry out the analysis and activities required to support development of our business strategies and projects that set the direction of the future electricity network.

The role is based at National Grid House in Warwick, with hybrid working arrangements available. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements. Some travel between offices will be required to work around our colleagues and business needs.


What You’ll Do

In this role, you will develop appropriate project management tools, frameworks or build data sets to enable these goals and allow deep business understanding of our strategic position and environment. Through research and stakeholder consultation, you will help construct recommendations to maximise opportunities for the future network and mitigate risks to business objectives.


About You

* Skilled at project and programme management, able to effectively scope, initiate and deliver projects or lead workstreams in larger projects (APM/Prince 2 is desirable)
* Excellent stakeholder management, able to engage stakeholders, facilitate workshops and group discussions
* Experience of strategic thinking or business planning
* Ability to communicate effectively through written, visual and verbal content
* Excellent consultative and facilitation skills, enabling meaningful workshops or discussions to draw insights from stakeholders
* Analytical or data management experience, able to draw insights from qualitative and quantitative data
* Understanding and experience of commercial frameworks, concepts, engineering, assets and markets that may impact our strategy and performance against it
* Knowledge of the energy sector in terms of; structure, regulatory environment and the short- and long-term issues affecting the industry


What You’ll Get

A salary of £48,000 - £57,000 depending on capability

As well as your base salary, you will receive

* 26 days holiday, plus eight statutory days, an option to buy extra holiday days, and the option to holiday swap up to 3 bank holiday days
* An annual performance incentive
* A generous pension scheme, double matched up to 6% of your salary each month. For every £1 you contribute we'll put in another £2, so if you put in 6%, we'll add 12% giving a total of 18% to your pension pot
* Life insurance at 10 times basic salary
* Employer funding towards a portion of your Private Medical Insurance.
* You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
