In 2018 we established ourselves as a manufacturer with our own Aegis and Fortis brands, and more recently Parvis, whilst continuing to supply and support metal detection, X-ray and static/dynamic weighing systems as a partner to other well-established manufacturers.
The Role
We are seeking candidates to join our expanding service team in the role of Field Calibration/Validation Engineer.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out calibration, validation test work and minor repairs on metal detection, weighing and inspection machinery at our customer premises (food factories), completing necessary documentation and certification.
The ideal candidate should have experience in a field service role and ideally hold a recognised engineering qualification or have equivalent experience. An understanding of safe manual handling is essential because there will be an occasional requirement to move test weights around the factories.
The role offers excellent development prospects for an engineer with mechanical and/or electronic skills, looking for a varied and challenging role.

Full training on the equipment will be given both in house, on site and formally at our suppliers’ training facilities.
Location:
The role will be based remotely, but ideally be located in the South/South West region. A van and fuel card will be provided for business use.
Responsibilities:
This is principally a mobile role and you will be required to travel to our customer’s sites to complete calibration and validation tasks. The majority of the work is situated in the London and Southern England, but occasionally there may be an element of travel throughout the UK with some stay-away necessary.
The basic hours of work are 8.00am to 4.30pm but due to the nature of the food industry, you may be asked to fit in with early starts/late finishes from time to time. Overtime paid door-to-door).
The work is interesting and varied to include the following duties:
Carry out calibration/validation test work on a range of equipment types
Accurate completion of calibration/validation certificates
Completion of job reports and highlighting potential further work/leads
Carry out minor adjustments and repairs as required
Repairs & refurbishment of metal detection and weighing equipment
Key Skills Required:
Full clean driving licence
Mechanical skills
Electrical skills (an advantage)
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work with the minimum of supervision whilst maintaining high standards
Good diagnostic and fault finding skills
Good personal time keeping and organisational skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £32,000.00 per year (DOE) + Overtime
