About the Role
As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you’ll play a key part in supporting the finance team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience with responsibilities such as:
* Collecting monthly account statements from stock suppliers and following up on any missing documents
* Checking and confirming that all invoices and credit notes match supplier statements
* Raising and sending query sheets for incorrect or disputed invoices
* Reconciling supplier statements with internal system records and preparing payment sheets
* Assisting the Finance Manager with cash postings and general admin duties
* Handling incoming calls, routing them appropriately, and providing support to suppliers
About You
Our client is looking for someone who is:
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Clear and professional in their communication style
* Eager to learn and take on new challenges
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a supportive team
* Familiar with basic accounting principles
* Confident using Microsoft Office especially Excel
