Position: Price & Range Strategy Manager
Shape end‑to‑end pricing and range strategy across key product categories. Drive profitability, competitiveness, and customer relevance through data‑led insights and commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and deliver the end‑to‑end pricing strategy across categories, balancing competitiveness, profitability, and brand positioning.
* Use data modeling, price elasticity, and competitor benchmarking to inform dynamic, insight‑led pricing decisions.
* Build and maintain pricing guardrails aligned to global frameworks while adapting to local market dynamics.
* Develop and execute a data‑driven range strategy, optimizing SKU mix, vendor performance, and customer relevance.
* Identify range gaps and rationalisation opportunities to improve assortment efficiency and long‑term growth.
* Partner cross‑functionally with Finance, R&D, and Category teams to forecast and measure pricing and range impacts.
* Create performance dashboards and post‑initiative reviews to track results, identify trends, and refine strategy.
* Collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align pricing and range plans with promotions and fulfilment goals.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in a commercial, trading, or pricing strategy role within retail, FMCG, or eCommerce.
* Highly analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable commercial insights.
* Proven success in managing pricing models, range optimisation, and profitability analysis.
* Confident communicator, able to influence at senior levels through insight‑led recommendations.
* Advanced Excel and analytical tools knowledge (Power BI, SQL, Tableau or similar).
* Highly organised, proactive, and able to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
* Commercially astute with a strategic mindset – able to balance customer needs, market trends, and financial objectives.
