Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bulk Logistics Manager to oversee logistics operations, with a focus on managing key accounts, including national household DIY stores. This role will ensure that orders and deliveries are executed efficiently and on time while maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage bulk logistics, routes, and daily delivery schedules for key accounts, primarily national household DIY stores.
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly.
• Lead, coach, and manage drivers and logistics personnel to ensure effective operations.
• Oversee fleet performance, including maintenance, inspections, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to transport, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage logistics budgets, KPIs, costs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate import/export activities and effectively resolve any customer or supply chain issues.
• Act as a key liaison between operations, sales, and senior leadership to drive improvements and efficiencies.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Proven experience in logistics, transport, or fleet management, preferably within the building products or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Confident leader with excellent planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Commercially aware, data-driven, and focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work under pressure and lead by example to motivate the logistics team.
