Physiotherapy Manager Private Hospital St Anthony's Hospital Fixed Term Contract 12 Months Full-time Salary Depending on experience Sutton Spire St Anthony's Hospital are looking for an experienced Physiotherapy Managerto join the Physio team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will provide highly skilled and specialised assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients within the in-patient/out-patient service as well as leading the Physiotherapy Team. Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthony's Hospital delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. We have six operating theatres coving a wide range of specialities and procedure including Ortho, Gynae and Cardio. There is an ITU department providing care and accommodating more complex patients. We have a number of developmental training courses and progression opportunities available for our ambitious employees. Job Purpose Management of the day to day running of the inpatient physiotherapy team to ensure effective staffing levels in order to provide high quality patient care whilst meeting the needs of the business. Work and lead the team across multiple Inpatient area's which include, Inpatient and day case Orthopaedics, Cardio-thoracic surgery, ITU, paediatrics and gynae surgery. To ensure the team delivers effective physiotherapy by providing appropriate clinical leadership and educational and development expertise. Duties and responsibilities Develop practice in the assessment of health and wellbeing needs. Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information. Develop knowledge and practice in own area of work including development, implementation and review of consultant protocols. Develops a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security. Develop and improve services. Improve quality. Enable people to exercise their rights and promote their equality and diversity. Plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members. Maintain and support the effective use of physical and financial resources. Ensure hospital targets are met in accordance with consultant protocols. Apply technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment of patients. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI. Management of inpatient team to ensure accurate staffing in order to meet patient needs. Recruitment and induction of physiotherapy staff. Who we're looking for: Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council Experience of team leadership of other physiotherapists Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes Challenging consultants to influence evidence-based practice Share evidence-based practices with colleagues to enhance service and standards Competence across a range of physiotherapy, management and leadership skills supported by skilled professional knowledge.
