Key Person Specification Requirements
* Level 3 or above industry relevant qualifications; Assessor Qualification; Teacher trained (PGCE, DTLLS or CertEd) or working towards
* GCSE Grade C (or 4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* Ability to teach another subject would be advantageous
* Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements
* Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment
* Experience of working in Further Education
* Up-to-date occupational experience
* Enhanced DBS check
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. The College offers a Lecturer Development Programme with induction to College systems, a curriculum mentor and regular 1-2-1 support from the Quality team. Industry professionals without a teaching qualification will be supported through the 12-week Introduction to Teaching at Cheshire College South & West programme.
