The gist
Lead a stable, therapeutic home with real autonomy and visible support from an experienced RI team. Ofsted-focused, child-centred, no chaos.
What you’ll do
* Hold Ofsted registration and lead day to day
* Recruit, coach and retain a consistent staff team
* Safeguarding, care planning, risk, audits and QA without the drama
* Embed trauma-informed, relational practice and predictable routines
* Manage placements, rota, supervision, budgets and performance
* Work closely with families, social workers, schools and partners
* Keep the home inspection-ready and outcomes-focused all year
About you
* Registered Manager experience in children’s homes, or an exceptional Deputy ready to step up
* Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare, or near completion
* Deep knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* Calm, confident communicator who balances nurture with boundaries
* Full UK manual driving licence and right to work in the UK
