Chesham Swimming Club (CSC) in Buckinghamshire is looking for enthusiastic Swimming Coaches to join their team. The successful candidates will enable our younger swimmers to master key swimming techniques and will help implement our competitive swimming programme
CSC is a small and friendly SwimMark-accredited club with over 80 swimmers.Our swimmers have a strong history of successfully competing in open meets, including County, Regional and National championships; and a variety of regional leagues and galas, including the Thames Valley Junior League and our own club championships.
The coaching team comprises 5 regular qualified coaches who are supported by an enthusiastic and proactive Committee.
CSCis committed to safeguarding all our members. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and must have or attend the UK Coaching Safeguarding and Protecting Children course.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Work as part of a dedicated team to deliver high-quality swim coaching to our junior squads
* Assist in the organisation and development of the training programme where required, including the implementation of new strategies that align with the goals of the Club
* Implement effective session plans appropriate for different age groups and skill levels
* Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to swimmers
* Motivate and encourage swimmers to reach their full potential
* Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, adhering to all pool safety and safeguarding regulations and the Club’s code of conduct
* Contribute to the coaching support of swimmers at competitions
Qualifications andExperience:
* Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 1 Award or Swimming Coach Certificate/Level 2 Award (or equivalent)
* Hold or be prepared to undertake qualifications in first aid and safeguarding, and continuing professional development to meet current Swim England requirements, including Wavepower
* Enhanced DBS with barring check and right to work in the UK
* A full driving licence to reach the required training and competition locations
