Job Title: Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Central London (within M25)
Purpose of the Job
• To deliver mobile multi-skilled maintenance services across commercial office buildings in central London.
• To work primarily from a plumbing background, but also undertake general building services maintenance as required.
• To provide reactive and planned maintenance while ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with site standards.
• To participate in a call-out rota and support critical maintenance tasks outside normal hours.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across a range of building services, including plumbing, heating, and associated mechanical systems.
• Work on commercial office sites throughout central London, travelling within the M25 (expected 1 hour either side for travel).
• Utilise a company-provided van for site visits and mobile duties.
• Participate in the call-out rota (currently 1 in 4), responding to emergencies efficiently.
• Maintain and service plumbing systems; vented and unvented qualifications are a bonus.
• Accurately complete maintenance logs, compliance documentation, and reports.
• Support overtime and additional work requirements when necessary.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
• Proven experience in commercial plumbing.
• Comfortable working across all-round building services.
• Ability to fault-find, maintain, and repair multiple building systems.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently across multiple sites.
• Professional approach to clients and site teams.
• Call-out experience desirable but not essential.
Working Hours & Benefits
• Monday – Friday, standard hours plus call-out rota (1 in 4)
• Base salary: £45,000 per annum
• Annual bonus: 5% of maintenance division performance (~£2,250)
• Standby allowance: £1,300
• Total package before call-outs: £48,550
• Call-out pay: 1.5x normal rate for weekdays/Saturdays, 2x on Sundays & Bank Holidays
• 23 days holiday + 3 Christmas days = 26 days, increasing with length of service

• Expenses float: £500 within probation, £750 after probation
Accountabilities
• Accountable to the Maintenance Manager / Supervisor.
• No direct line management responsibility.
• Responsible for safe and compliant operation of all systems under their care.
