Role Overview

We are looking for an individual who would like to join our team as an Activity Organiser on a fixed term basis, for 6 months to cover maternity leave.


Services and Goals

Our service aims to provide meaningful activities that provide enjoyment and personal fulfilment whilst encouraging inclusion, promoting independence and expanding the individual's interests and skills. We work in a person‑centred way with our people with learning and/or physical/sensory disability so that their needs are consistently met in a sensitive way, whilst being flexible and adaptable to their individual's needs and aspirations.


Responsibilities

* Plan, organise, lead and participate in activities.
* Promote participation from the people who access our services.
* Communicate effectively and work well in a team.
* Motivate others and maintain a positive mindset.
* Show flexibility for any evening activities.
* Provide positive behaviour support and assist those with complex needs.


Qualifications

* Experience caring for people with learning and/or physical disability.
* Basic first aid certification or ability to achieve within 6 months.
* Experience working with those who require positive behaviour support and have complex needs.
* Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship required).


Working Hours

Current hours of work are Monday to Friday during the day. However, you must be prepared to be flexible for any evening activities.
