As an Elevate Surveyor you will be at the frontline of the Elevate experience for our customer base. Your main role and responsibility being to perform thorough surveys of both commercial single dwelling units and multi dwelling units followed on by the generation of the corresponding Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for a variety of communications solutions. We view our RAMS documentation as being a part of our product, the Pre-Sales solution and thus a critical component in not only the end customer experience but overall successful delivery of the job at hand. Key Responsibilities Raising access to customer premises as well as ensuring a survey date runs as smoothly as possible. Visiting customer sites to undergo physical site surveys. Assessment of existing telecommunications infrastructure on site. Production of clear Method Statements for the engineering teams to follow. Accurate completion and submission of all documentation and other necessary documentation with a track record of ‘right first time’. Providing regular updates to the Delivery and Project Manager on any issues that could hamper the installation. Identifying solutions and equipment to reduce costs and ensure all requirements are met. Selection of the correct solution for the property due to be connected. Liaising with the sales and delivery teams to cover all customer requirements. Depending on experience in fibre - Production of clear UG & OH route packs for the TR&R teams. Depending on experience in fibre - Identifying solutions on the network to avoid civils work to ensure all requirements are met. Requirements Essential requirements Proven experience working in a field engineering environment Full UK clean driving licence Over 1 year of experience creating and managing RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) documentation Over 1 year experience creating and managing RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) documentation Highly effective under pressure in fast paced, deadline driven environments Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Google Docs Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing high quality documentation Excellent communication skills, both internal and customer facing Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise workloads independently Flexible and willing to travel nationally, including overnight stays when required Solid knowledge of internal fibre and copper systems Good understanding of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure Experienced in managing tight deadlines and coordinating workloads efficiently Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence Knowledgeable in Health, Safety, Quality Control, and Environmental policies and procedures Desired requirements Experience in fibre surveying on the Openreach network Wireless radio/antenna experience Experienced in project management Whilst the role is predominantly Monday to Friday, a flexible approach to working days and hours as required by the needs of the business is essential. There may also be the ad-hoc requirement to stay away from home for short periods of time due to job locations.
