Contract: Permanent (Peripatetic)
Hours: 30 per week
Working Style: Your workstyle will be a mobile hybrid worker in this role which gives you the flexibility to work from home and from a variety of Council workplaces.
We are currently seeking efficient, flexible administrators, who are highly organised, and detail-oriented to join our team as a (Business Support Officer) in Children’s Services Community Teams.
Administrative staff are the backbone of Children's Social Services, ensuring that Social Workers can focus on direct work with families.
As a Business Support Officer, you will be part of a Business Support Team providing administrative support to frontline Social Work Teams in Children’s Services.
Your daily routine will include telephony, data entry, note taking of meetings, administration of petty cash, corporate credit cards and invoicing.

Do you have the below skills and experience:
1. Technical/IT: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
2. Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills for drafting reports, taking minutes, and communicating with stakeholders.
3. Organizational: High attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
4. Interpersonal: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain confidentiality.
5. Administrative Support: Experience managing office procedures, document control, and record-keeping.
6. Financial Administration: Experience with petty cash, invoice processing, purchase orders, and budget monitoring.
7. Meeting Support: Proven experience in organizing meetings, preparing agendas, and minuting.
8. Customer Service: Ability to deal with stakeholders, clients, or public inquiries professionally.
9. Qualifications in business administration or related fields.
10. 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, 2 of which must be in English language, Welsh or Mathematics. Attainment of or working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration is desirable.
11. Previous experience in public sector, NGO, or specialized office environments
