Role overview:
As an Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in monitoring, improving, and maintaining high levels of student attendance. You will work closely with pastoral staff, families, and external agencies to ensure all students are supported effectively.

Key responsibilities:

* Monitor daily attendance and punctuality across the school

* Follow up on absences promptly, including contacting parents/carers

* Maintain accurate attendance records and produce reports for senior leaders

* Identify patterns of absence and implement intervention strategies

* Work closely with Heads of Year and safeguarding teams

* Liaise with external agencies where necessary

* Support the school’s safeguarding and pastoral systems
