Senior Autism Practitioner 1 Year rolling Contract (Thurrock)Job Title: Autism PractitionerLocation: Thurrock, EssexEmployer: Seek Staffing LtdSalary: £2,500 £2,900 per month (dependent on experience)Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day (full-time)About the RoleSeek Staffing Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Autism Practitioner to join a dedicated service supporting young people aged 1825 with autism in Thurrock, Essex. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by empowering individuals to develop independence, confidence, and life skills as they transition into adulthood.You will work both within a structured hub environment and out in the community, delivering tailored, person-centred support aligned with each individuals Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct, high-quality support to young people with autism in both community and hub settingsSupport the development of daily living skills, including personal care, budgeting, cooking, and independent livingPromote emotional wellbeing through structured interventions, positive behaviour support, and consistent engagementFacilitate social interaction and community participation, encouraging inclusion and independenceSupport individuals in achieving their education, training, and employment goalsDeliver and review support in line with EHCP plans provided by the local authorityAct as a key worker for allocated individuals, maintaining accurate records and progress reportsLead on complex cases, providing guidance and support to junior staffWork collaboratively with families, external professionals, and multi-agency teamsContribute to care planning, risk assessments, and outcome-based reviewsPromote safeguarding, equality, and best practice at all timesEssential (Mandatory) RequirementsMinimum 5 years experience working with young people or adults with autism or related needsProven track record of delivering positive outcomes and person-centred supportRelevant qualification in Health & Social Care, Psychology, Education, or a related field (Level 3 minimum)Strong understanding of autism spectrum conditions, behaviours that challenge, and support strategiesExperience working with EHCPs and local authority frameworksAbility to manage and lead complex casesExcellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skillsFull UK driving licence (or ability to travel across the community)Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable individualsDesirable Skills & QualificationsDegree (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related disciplineTraining in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Autism-specific interventions, or Mental HealthExperience supporting individuals into employment or further education pathwaysLeadership or supervisory experience within a care or support settingKnowledge of Ofsted/CQC frameworks and compliance standardsFirst Aid and Safeguarding certificationsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary with progression opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentOngoing professional development and trainingOpportunity to take a lead role in complex and specialist casesMeaningful, rewarding work that directly impacts young peoples futuresStructured working hours (Monday to Friday) promoting work-life balanceWhy Join Seek Staffing Ltd?At Seek Staffing Ltd, we are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred services that empower young people to thrive.
