POSITION SCOPE
Provision of an effective maintenance service to all plant/equipment used within the refining and packing areas, with emphasis on the improving plant availability & reliability.
Shifts: 3 shift rotation
Salary: £47,990.50 + Shift allowance of 24.3%
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Meet or better all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental targets.
2. Carry out plant isolations.
3. Maintenance responsibility for all mechanical, electrical and electronic systems employed within the Process, Packing, Utilities and Jetty sections.
4. Carry out reactive maintenance when required by plant priorities.
5. Progress to agreed maintenance plans.
6. To plan, schedule & agree daily/weekly workload with the Area Maintenance Leader, incorporating Preventative, Predictive and improvement activities.
7. Plan plant insurance inspections liaising with the insurance inspector when required.
8. Complete plant improvement projects as time allows.
9. Supervise maintenance activities optimizing available on site resources and contractors to ensure expedient, high quality repairs, servicing and improvement projects.
10. Liaise with contractors and manage RAMS and PTW.
11. Supervise cleaning resources to maintain plant hygiene.
12. Administer and review SAP maintenance system for budgeting, historical trend & reliability analysis, and in order to maintain accurate SAP inventories.
13. Provide where necessary HT cover for the site following the appropriate training and assessment.
14. Undertake detailed RCA on component failures, generating and implementing modifications & improvements to address reliability and performance issues within the plant.
15. Provide cost estimates for improvement projects and generate capital requests for these projects.
16. Participate in capital projects at all stages of implementation through to commissioning including pre-delivery inspections & installation of new plant for area of responsibility.
17. Meet with suppliers or potential suppliers and carry out audits/visits to suppliers’ premises when required.
18. Mentor, train and advise on engineering practices and Maintenance issues at all levels.
19. Plant reliability measured in up time, OEE & lost opportunity.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES
27. Comparable experience of maintenance within an automated continuous process environment, which may include PLC and/or HT systems.
28. Experience of Predictive/Preventative maintenance techniques and regimes.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
29. Preferably an HNC/NVQ 4 in an engineering discipline, at least BTEC/ONC in relevant discipline.
