Senior Fire Design Engineer - London Shape the future of fire safety-and the places we live, work, and build. In this role, you won't just apply technical expertise-you'll influence how buildings perform, how communities are protected, and how the industry evolves. You'll be responsible for shaping fire safety strategies that enhance building performance and safeguard lives, while leading major fire engineering projects across the UK and internationally. Your leadership will extend to mentoring junior team members, helping to grow the next generation of fire safety experts, and strengthening client relationships through trusted insight and strategic thinking. You'll also take ownership of project management-from supporting the preparation of quotations to overseeing the delivery of technical analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and documentation. Every aspect of your work will contribute to designing for safety, resilience, and sustainability-making a lasting difference not just for our clients, but for the communities they serve. * A Degree or Masters in Fire Engineering, or equivalent and proven experience, and ideally be a Chartered or Incorporated Fire Engineer through the IFE * Strong technical knowledge with a corresponding track record of gaining agreement for prescriptive and performance based design solutions from approving authorities and other key stakeholders - quality work delivered to time and on budget consistently * Experience of site inspections, audits, and fire risk assessments preferred with a good working knowledge of UK, ROI, NFPA, IBC/IFC Codes * Experience in computational modelling of evacuation, fire growth and smoke movement would be beneficial, including CFD modelling * Structural fire engineering highly beneficial Our colleagues enjoy project diversity and global reach within collaborative and innovative work environment as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
