We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to manage all financial transactions in our busy Law firm. This standalone role requires strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and the ability to handle client and office accounting independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Process client and office transactions, including deposits, completion funds, SDLT, and Land Registry fees
Maintain accurate ledgers and perform daily bank reconciliations
Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and handle residual balances
Prepare completion statements, issue invoices, and manage disbursements
Support VAT submissions and year-end reporting
Liaise with fee earners, banks, and external accountants as needed
Requirements:
Experience as a Legal Cashier, ideally in a conveyancing setting
Strong working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
Familiarity with legal accounting software (e.g. LEAP, Quill)
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
