The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support our Southampton office with its operational needs.
In this role we will teach you everything you need to know processing road, air and sea shipments for our customers and completing bookings with shipping lines, agents and hauliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regularly attend and contribute to required apprentice training, workshops and tutor sessions to build your knowledge and skillset and support your apprenticeship
* Complete any coursework, assignments and exams required to meet the requirements of your apprenticeship
* Provide support to the rest of the operations team and other colleagues across the business where they need assistance
* Answer the phone in a professional manor and provide outstanding customer service to all customer and supplier needs
* Arranging bookings and managing all shipments and jobs including, but not limited to, checking collections & deliveries and providing regular updates to customers

What you'll bring:
* Grade C/4 and above in English and Maths are essential
* Ability to work well under pressure and able to work to tight deadlines
* Extremely organised with a high attention to detail and accuracy
* High IT literacy skills including strong competency with Microsoft Office
* Outstanding customer service skills
* The ability to develop and build strong relationships over the phone
* The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player
* Accountability to yourself and others
