Receptionist / Administrator (Clinical support team)
To providegeneral assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendlyimage to patients and visitors, either in person or via the telephone.Welcome, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service orhealthcare profession in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
Main duties of the job
Dealingwith appointment, home visits and telephone requests.
Booking,amending, and cancelling patient appointments
Processingof repeat prescriptions in accordance to practice guidelines.
Initialcontact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members andassociated healthcare agencies and providers.
Filingand retrieving paperwork
Takingmessages and passing on information
Keepingthe reception area tidy and free from obstructions and clutter
Bringin path lab results and re-allocate where necessary.
ImportGP to GP records.
Actionadmin emails and internal messages
Actionmastercall out of hours reports
Enternew patients onto the system.
Enterchange of address, name changes to the system
Actionon-line registrations
ActionMother and baby discharges
Medicalrecords for insurance companies
Carryout data entry for patient records.
Receivenew patient paper notes from the health authority and entering them onto thesystem.
Scanningof post onto patient records
Coding
Emailingof sicknotes, referrals to patients and hospitals
Completingtasks sent from internal users.
Ensurepatient confidentiality is kept at all times.
Completeannual mandatory training.

We have a clinical team of 9 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GP's, 4 Practice Nurses, 2 HCA's & 1 Phlebotomist, all supported by a large reception and admin team.
