Fire Service Engineer
A quick one before the year wraps up. A respected fire and security employer is looking for an experienced Fire Service Engineer to cover Canterbury and nearby areas.
What you will be doing
Planned servicing and maintenance
Reactive callouts and fault finding
Remedial repairs to a high standard
Working on fire detection, emergency lighting, AOVs, and associated systems
Clear handover to customers on what you found and what needs doing
Completing service reports properly
Keeping the van stock tidy and well managed
Supporting the wider team and helping juniors when needed
What you need
You will already have solid fire and life safety experience, with a good working grasp of BS5839 and the other day-to-day standards. You are happy working on your own, make sensible calls on site, and stay calm when things get busy. A full manual licence with low points is needed, and you will need to pass an enhanced DBS check.
Salary and package
Basic salary up to £39,000
Overtime available
1 in 3 callout rota with £245 per week standby fee
Door-to-door travel paid while on call

22 days plus bank holidays, rising yearly up to 27 with an extra 3 days at 10 years service

This is an engineer-led team where people are trusted to get on with the job. Managers are supportive without hovering, and you will have backup when you need it.
