This role is commutable from MiltonKeynes Newport Pagnell St. Neots Biggleswade Sandy Bedford. Thereis some flexibility for occasional work from home althoughcandidates should expect to commute into the office three days eachweek. The role may involve occasional travel to meet with customersand support product deployment.

Theyare on the lookout for a versatile and talented Electronics& Hardware Engineer with a keen interest in firmwaredevelopment to join a robust multidisciplinary engineering team.The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set in electronics andhardware development with a significant emphasis on firmware and beenthusiastic about diversifying their expertise. This role involvesa 60% focus on firmware and 40% on hardware tasks requiring astrong foundation in electronic engineering principles proficiencyin firmware development and the capability to innovate and tacklecomplex problems.
Tasks
MainDuties & Responsibilities:
Design develop andprototype electronic hardware systems with a focus on low powerwireless solutions balancing a 60/40 workload between firmware andhardware developments.
Lead the firmware developmentlifecycle from concept to deployment including coding debugging anddocumentation.
Work closely with a strongmultidisciplinary engineering team on exciting and challengingprojects ensuring seamless integration and alignment with productspecifications and timelines.
Transform engineeringchallenges into marketable products quickly by leveraging expertisein low power wireless technology and creative problemsolvingskills.
Mentor and guide both peers and juniors in theircareer progression sharing knowledge and expertise in hardware andfirmware development.
Conduct comprehensive testing andvalidation of hardware and firmware components to ensure productreliability efficiency and compliance withstandards.
Requirements
RelevantKnowledge Experience & Qualifications:
Candidatesshould assess their suitability against the following essentialand/or desirable relevant knowledge experience &qualifications:
Essential:
Bachelors orMasters degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering orrelated fields (or equivalent experience).
Experience inelectronics hardware design and firmware development with awillingness to broaden skills across both areas.
Strongproficiency in programming languages such as C &Python.
Indepth experience with PCB design software (e.g.Altium Designer) and firmware development tools.
Solidunderstanding of microcontrollers and peripheral interfaces (I2CSPI UART etc.) with an emphasis on low power design.
Excellent problemsolving abilities capable of working bothindependently and collaboratively within a team.
Effective communication and documentation skills with the abilityto convey technical information in a clear and concisemanner.
Desirable:
Any experience withwireless technologies (Cellular Lora Bluetooth) will be anadvantage for this role.
Experience with certificationprocesses (EMC CE FCC) will be considered an additionalasset.
Familiarity with basic concepts of mechanicaldesign will beadvantageous.
