Morson is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client in Wolverhampton. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in global manufacturing work transfers, ensuring that production capability, quality, and efficiency are successfully maintained as machining operations are relocated between international sites.
The position combines hands-on technical engineering with strategic project leadership, supporting the successful inload of machining and assembly processes from global facilities — primarily based in East Asia (Singapore) — into the client's UK operation.
Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver international work transfer projects — planning, coordinating, and executing the movement of production lines and machining capability into the UK site.
Manage the end-to-end process from technical scoping and validation through to full production readiness.
Apply strong machining expertise — including CNC, gear cutting, and prismatic component manufacturing.
Drive problem-solving and continuous improvement, ensuring efficiency and process standardisation.
Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams across the UK, Europe, USA, and East Asia.
Support knowledge transfer, process validation, and capability checks to ensure a smooth ramp-up.
About You We're looking for a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment and can balance shop-floor engagement with global project delivery.
Essential skills & experience:
Proven experience in machining and precision manufacturing (CNC, gear cutting, prismatics).
Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Background in aerospace or similarly regulated, high-precision environments.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Willingness to travel internationally ( approx. 1 week per month, primarily to Singapore).
Desirable:
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma or formal project management training (PMP, PRINCE2).
