Job Summary

Work Welsh Lecturer (Full‑time, Permanent)

Applications are invited for two Work Welsh Lecturer positions with Learn Welsh North East, which is part of Coleg Cambria. Learn Welsh North East is one of eleven providers delivering learn Welsh courses on behalf of The National Centre for Welsh Learning.

The roles involve delivering Welsh language programmes to staff in workplaces across north east Wales and beyond, including organisations in the health, public services, and arts sectors. It will be necessary to provide face‑to‑face lessons as well as offer online learning experiences at all levels.

Applications will also be considered to fulfil this role on a part‑time or job‑sharing basis.

Successful applicants must hold a driving licence or demonstrate the ability to travel to various locations within the designated area.

Closing date for applications – March 13th 2026.

Interviews to take place week of 16th March – 19th March 2026.

Welsh skills are desirable for this specific post. We are seeking candidates who can help us grow our bilingual provision and service.

Coleg Cambria aims to actively promote and embed the Welsh language and culture. Disclosure will not automatically prevent employment; a risk assessment will be carried out however we may deem some convictions / cautions as unsuitable to work with children.

Depending on the position, successful candidates may also need to register with the Education Workforce Council.

Roles are normally advertised with a salary range. If you are offered a role at the college, relevant experience will be taken into consideration to determine your starting salary.
