An established public sector organisation dedicated to environmental outcomes is seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Advisor to join its high performing Commercial Services function.
Your new role
As an Interim Commercial Officer, you will lead and manage procurement projects across a diverse portfolio of goods and services. You'll provide professional procurement advice to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring compliance, value for money and the successful delivery of key programmes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing end-to-end tenders, including market engagement, sourcing strategies, documentation development and contract drafting.
* Moderating tender evaluations, overseeing standstill periods and ensuring robust governance throughout.
* Supporting internal teams with timely procurement guidance and building strong, positive stakeholder relationships.
* Driving commercial value while supporting strategic priorities across the business
What you'll need to succeed
* Significant experience in procurement or commercial roles, with a track record of managing projects and end-to-end tenders across a wide range of indirect categories
* Demonstrable public sector procurement experience, including strong knowledge of regulated tendering.
* A good understanding of the requirements of the Procurement Act 2023.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships.
* Experience working with SMEs and familiarity with eSourcing platforms (such as Panacea) and Find a Tender.
What you'll get in return
* Up to £400 per day (Inside IR35)
* 1 day per week in Bristol
* 9-12 month contract with chance of extension
