The Role: Your Contribution to Village
As our Procurement Category Manager, you are the ultimate Buyer. If it is in our hotels and it isn't furniture, you probably bought it. From the linen on the beds to the waste management out the back, and the beverages in the bar, you are at the heart of our commercial engine.
This is a permanent role for a true self-starter. You will be remote-based, but you will have our hub in the Wirral as your home base when you need it. We need a front-facing pro who is super confident at negotiation and knows how to drive a deal that benefits the whole Village.
The 'bones' of what you will be doing (because It Takes a Village):
* We Can: Lead the Buy. You are the go-to Buyer for a massive range of categories. You will take full ownership of everything from housekeeping goods to operational services. If we need it, you will find the best way to get it.
* We Will: Negotiate with Backbone. We need a negotiation shark who is also a team player. You will run robust tenders and manage contracts with total confidence, ensuring Village always gets the best quality and value.
* We Do: Analyse and Act. You won't just follow a list. You will dive deep into spend data and market insights to spot the wins others miss. You are a quick thinker who works off their own initiative to keep us ahead of the game.
* We Care: Build the Village. Working remotely but staying front-facing, you will partner closely with our Operations and Finance teams. You understand that your work as a Buyer directly impacts the guest experience, so you buy with heart and logic.
