The Associate Lecturer will deliver high quality teaching for a range of courses and programmes. They will design effective course materials, manage their teaching activities, support learner engagement. What does success look like: Designing teaching material and teaching on a range of programmes. Ensuring that the content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet the programme and module learning objectives. Using appropriate teaching, learning and assessment methods. Demonstrating and promoting high levels of digital literacy with teaching and resource methods and approaches. Setting, marking, and giving feedback on assessments in accordance with FutureLearn/Partner policies and procedures. Supervising learners' work and projects and providing advice on study and research skills. Understanding the needs of individual learners and their circumstances. Refer students as appropriate to services providing further help. Contributing to the quality assurance process. Contributing to the planning of teaching modules through effective module ownership and standardisation. Planning and managing own teaching and tutorials as agreed with subject leaders. Maintaining records and materials in support of teaching activities and interventions with learners. Making effective use of learner analytics and to provide timely interventions to keep learners on track. Attending and contributing to relevant meetings. Completing mandatory training within the first three months What you will bring to the table: A PhD within a relevant subject area. Experience of teaching and learning within the UK Higher Education sector. Experience of teaching within the specific subject area. Eligibility for Fellowship of AdvanceHE. Excellent team working and communication skills. A passion and commitment for supporting students to succeed. Desirable Experience of online teaching and learning.
