PURPOSE
As Graduate Solution Designer,you will work with the solution designers and deployment engineers to gain exposure and experience of network solutions we provide to variety of customers. You will be provided with mentoring and coaching to learn the network design skills and help the team deliver the best customer experience. You will first gather requirements and provide guidance and advice to deliver a proposal that meets the customers needs. You will work with pre-defined solutions, securing adaptations as required. Once agreed upon, you will see the proposal through implementation and handover to the customer and operations colleagues.
Reporting to the Solution Engineering Manager, overseeing the technologies that SITA supports at Heathrow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Represent SITA in each new engagement, working with commercial and project colleagues to represent SITA positively.
2. Elicit business requirements, applying these to the solution that best meets the needs of the engagement
3. When needed, recommended and secure adaptations to pre-defined solutions to fully meet the needs of the engagement
4. Work with commercial and project colleagues to prepare a proposal for the engagement.
5. Build on the proposal to produce a design that can be implemented
6. Be on hand for early life support requirements
7. Support the transition of the solution to operations colleagues
8. Contribute to product roadmaps so that solutions evolve with customer needs
9. Learn various solutions & technologies in LAN, WLAN, Cyber Security and IPT domain
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Computer Technologies* Technical certifications would be a plus (e.g. Cisco CCNA CCDA ITILV3)
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
10. A graduate in Networks, IT, Computer Science or related discipline.
11. Technical knowledge and background required.
12. Any IT certification (desirable)
13. Any experience in technical domain
14. Any experience in Customer Service
15. Any technical knowledge of Windows Servers, Cisco network products, Aruba WLAN, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cybersecurity
16. Knowledge of ITIL and Service Management practices and procedures.
