A growing Internal Audit and Risk team with offices in Manchester and Liverpool is looking for an Assistant Manager, paying a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 depending upon expereince. You could be based in either Liverpool or Manchester. Your Assistant Manager Responsibilities: Manage your own portfolio of internal audit, risk and advisory engagements, balancing planning, execution and delivery. Lead audits and specialist assignments, ensuring high-quality assurance and insightful outcomes for clients. Supervise, coach and support more junior team members to build capability and confidence. Build and maintain strong client relationships, communicating effectively with stakeholders including Senior Managers, Directors and Partners. Apply data analytics, professional judgement and innovative approaches to enhance governance, controls and risk management. Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver value-led assurance and advisory solutions. Assistant Manager Attributes: Relevant professional experience in internal audit or equivalent risk & assurance work. Recognised professional qualification such as CIA (with QIAL), CMIIA/MIIA, CCAB or equivalent. Proven ability to plan and deliver audits with sound judgement and constructive challenge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging at all levels. Proficiency with MS Office and flow-charting tools; familiarity with internal audit systems or data analytics tools is a plus.
