The role requires a good working knowledge of engineering practice, well developed planning and organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively with apprentices and employers, with good questioning skills and the confidence to discuss a range of topics and issues with apprentices and employers.

* Carry out initial onboarding reviews to ensure that apprentices complete a skills scan, understand their training plan and check that the apprentice can achieve the programme.
* Provide high quality information, advice and guidance to learners, supporting career development of apprentices.

* Ensure that all apprentices within the assigned caseload meet the agreed practical period end dates and end point assessment by the agreed apprenticeship end date.
* Support and promote involvement in the personal and professional development curriculum, linked to the overall apprenticeship standard.
* Provide information on learner progress to employers, acting upon issues promptly and identifying at‑risk learners for support.
* Ensure that curriculum assessments and reviews meet the required AMRC quality standard.
* Ensure learner feedback is captured, evaluated and fed into the Self‑Assessment Review process to constantly improve quality of provision.
* Ensure all apprentices within the caseloads Onefile accounts are monitored to keep progress and accounts current.
* Attend monthly standardisation meetings, monthly update meetings with the Workplace Curriculum Manager, and relevant training sessions.
* Take part in open events at the Training Centre, up to about six a year, in the evenings.
* Carry out other duties commensurate with the grade and remit of the post.
