This is a permanent position in Clinical Biochemistry with the following bands:
* Band 5: £31,892 - £39,735
* Band 6: £33,072 - £48,635
Hours: 37.0 per week, including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts after training.
Applications are invited from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists. Newly graduated candidates will need to complete their Specialist Portfolio before progressing to Band 6. We seek individuals demonstrating team spirit, initiative, flexibility, and enthusiasm for further training.
The department features state-of-the-art equipment, including Roche cobas analysers, Thermo GCMS, and Sebia electrophoresis systems. The role involves rotation through various sections and covering a 24/7 laboratory service following suitable training.
The department is UKAS accredited and IBMS approved for training. Active participation in CPD and further study opportunities are supported.
