Role Summary EQ Retirement Solutions are looking for a Client Reporting Manager. As a Client Reporting Manager, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining and reconciling client account records, ensuring compliance with tax requirements, and producing management reports and annual accounts for a portfolio of clients. You will provide technical guidance, support team development, and liaise with clients to meet service needs. This role requires strong pensions accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships and SLAs effectively. Core Duties/Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Team Leadership: Line manage accounting staff, set objectives, review development plans, and drive engagement. Financial Reporting: Draft pension scheme financial statements and annual reports in line with legislation and best practice; prepare periodic financial and management reports. Audit & Compliance: Facilitate audits, manage audit planning, ensure compliance with financial controls and quality standards, and coordinate AAF audit responsibilities. Payments & Reconciliations: Authorise payments, review reconciliations, and oversee banking platform administration and mandates. Tax & Regulatory Reporting: Prepare/review SA970 tax returns, quarterly tax accounting, and ONS returns; ensure timely HMRC submissions. Client Support: Handle escalations, provide technical guidance, and maintain strong client relationships. Technical Expertise: Act as SME for pensions accounting, VAT, AFT, SORP, FRS102, and system implementations (SunSystems). Deliver technical training and maintain departmental SOPs. Projects & Process Improvement: Lead remediation projects, manage client onboarding/exits, oversee system upgrades, and implement process improvements. Resource & People Management: Plan resources, liaise with HR and recruitment, mentor senior staff, and manage performance reviews. Cross-Team Collaboration: Build relationships across operations, treasury, and professional advisers; represent EQ Retirement Solutions at PRAG. Skills, Capabilities and Attributes The ideal candidate will have the below skills, capabilities and attributes essential or preferred. Qualified or qualified by experience. Qualified accountant or equivalent experience. Strong pensions accounting knowledge and accounts production skills. Excellent communication, numeric, and interpretation skills. Ability to translate legislation into service delivery and maintain client relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting systems (SunSystems, DREAM). Experience with complex investments and external pensions services. Security clearance required (UK residency for past 5 years).
