Early Years Educator Job - Blackburn | January 2026 Start Looking for a rewarding role in early years education? A welcoming primary school in Blackburn is hiring a passionate Early Years Educator to join their team from January 2026. Contract: Fixed Term (with potential to become permanent) Hours: Full-Time, Term-Time Only Pay: £13.68 per hour (negotiable) Are you a passionate and experienced Early Years Educator with a strong understanding of the EYFS? Do you have the creativity, care, and knowledge needed to support chil dren in their crucial early stages of development? A warm and inclusive Primary School in Blackburn is seeking to appoint a committed and nurturing Early Years Educator to join their team from January 2026. This full-time, fixed-term position offers the potential to become permanent and provides an excellent opportunity to support young children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a highly supportive environment. About the Role: You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education, supporting the development of children aged 3-5 in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Working closely with room leaders and other practitioners, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, communication, and personal growth. This role is perfect for someone with proven experience in the early years sector, holding a Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare, and confident in using observation and assessment to plan effectively for children's individual needs. Key Responsibilities: * Support children's learning and development across all areas of the EYFS * Deliver planned activities and contribute to child-led learning opportunities * Use observations and assessments to inform next steps and record progress * Promote children's physical, emotional, and social wellbeing * Encourage independence, curiosity, and positive behaviour through play-based learning * Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues * Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment that meets safeguarding standards * Work collaboratively as part of a professional and reflective early years team Essential Requirements: * Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, BTEC, T-Level or equivalent) * Recent and relevant experience working within the early years sector * A secure understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * A caring, enthusiastic, and child-centred approach * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently * A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children We Offer: * Competitive pay: £13.68 per hour * Weekly pay * A supportive and well-established early years team * Ongoing CPD opportunities and training relevant to EYFS practice * A nurturing and inclusive environment where children are at the heart of everything we do * The opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's early learning journey Apply Today!
