SEASONAL CONTRACT DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
Total Sports Limited are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals who are passionate about getting children active. Our Holiday Camps run every school holiday, in venues across North, East and West Yorkshire.
Our next camps run over the October half term Holidays starting W/C 27th October. We are looking for an enthusiastic lifeguard, to supervise our swim sessions at a prestigious venue in Pocklington.
To be successful, applicants should demonstrate the ability to excel in the following 6 areas;
1. Programme Delivery
Supervise high quality, active & inclusive sessions to children aged 5-13. Be responsible for creating a positive atmosphere for children, whilst maintaining effective supervision & a high level of care. Coaches will lead activities, and you must be able to confidently watch up to 20 children in the water.
2. Communication & Reporting
Respond to incidents in line with our procedures. Be responsible for the Safeguarding of children in your care. Adhere to company policies at all times, ensuring consistent communication between camp staff, parents & Head Office. Follow the venues NOP and EAP without exception.
3. Family Interaction
Foster effective relationships with families & children in your care. Go the extra mile for the families you serve, matching the needs of each child.
4. Leadership
Inspire and motivate others to achieve their potential. Have excellent organisational skills & be able to make confident decisions both independently & as part of a team.
5. Professional Development
Be willing to use your experience & knowledge to enhance camp. Have a commitment to your own professional development, completing training & responding well to feedback.
6. Brand Awareness
Promote Total Sports values and adhere to brand standards at all times. Be punctual, prepared & willing to use your initiative. Be committed & enthusiastic in your role.
A relevant lifeguarding qualification is essential, such as the NPLQ. All coaches must hold an Enhanced DBS, or we can assist in the application process.
For those wishing to gain more experience in sports coaching or childcare, opportunities for additional hours are available as a multi sports coach or placement, around the swim times.
