CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITH A LEADING AEROSPACE COMPANY FOR A REPAIR STRESS ENGINEER
Overview
Onsite in Filton with the opportunity for 2 days a week from home.
Responsibilities
* Join a team responsible for the static strength analysis of metallic and composite structures.
* Collaborate with Design and F&DT engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures.
* Complete justification reports and other engineering documentation.
* Work with skilled designers to develop optimum repairs.
* Use ISAMI and Mathcad to perform structural static strength analysis of repairs.
* Contribute as part of a team with Aircraft Structural Engineering background.
* Demonstrate knowledge of ISAMI and Mathcad.
* Use a range of hand and computer methods to complete static analysis.
* Composite material experience would be beneficial.
* Be prepared to go through a BPSS check.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Aircraft Structural Engineering background.
* Knowledge of ISAMI and Mathcad.
* Experience using a range of hand and computer methods to complete static analysis.
* Composite material experience would be beneficial.
* Ability to obtain BPSS clearance or currently hold BPSS clearance.
* Interest in Repair Stress Signatory Delegation (previously held, currently held, or close to obtaining).
