About the team
Our Early Careers team is a high-performing team of forward-thinking, strategic business enablers. The team consists of three managers who focus on Selection and Assessment, Talent Attraction and Future Talent & Onboarding along with a team of Advisors and Coordinators. The team attract, hire and onboard c.400 graduates and apprentices along with c.350 work experience, insight and interns through our future talent programmes.
About the role
As Early Careers Manager you will be responsible for leading two key areas: Future Talent Conversion Programmes and Early Careers Onboarding.
We are looking for someone with high volume early careers recruitment and/or programme delivery experience in an early careers' talent acquisition team. You will work collaboratively with team members and senior stakeholders to deliver high-volume programmes to support early careers talent and ensure a market-leading inclusive approach to how we onboard new talent.
This role has two direct reports: Future Talent Coordinator and Onboarding Advisor.
Future talent:
You will be responsible for managing the recruitment and delivery of future talent programmes including internships, work experience, insight programmes and virtual work experience. This also includes supporting the successful conversion of attendees into permanent graduate and apprenticeship roles, supporting our firm's commitment to inclusion and diversity while building open and accessible routes into our profession for entry level talent.
* Manage recruitment and delivery of established future talent pipeline programmes, including internships, work experience, insight programmes and virtual work experience, in line with our early career's strategy.
* Ensure excellent programme experience for all students and business stakeholders, monitoring data and responding to feedback while supporting attendees to convert their experience into a permanent graduate and apprenticeship role.
* Coordinate intern and work experience new joiner logistics with onboarding and HR Shared Service teams, ensuring a smooth journey from application to start date.
* Working closely with internal stakeholders across the breadth of our programmes to ensure successful delivery of in-person internships and work experience programmes. This includes confirming hiring numbers, team allocations and delivery of programmes across 12 offices.
Onboarding:
You will also lead the post offer engagement of all early careers' new joiners in collaboration with the Onboarding team. You will work collaboratively to engage with new hires and ensure they have a good understanding of the firm and expectations of their role ahead of joining whilst ensuring a marketing leading, inclusive approach to how we onboard new talent.
* Overseeing a comprehensive and innovative new joiner, people manager and buddy pre-boarding experience to optimise how we bring early talent into the business.
* Work in collaboration with the Onboarding team to deliver in-person new joiner events, innovative email campaigns and skills development to build work-readiness.
General:
* Implement Workday processes in pipeline programme recruitment and general onboarding.
* Day to day management of direct reports, providing guidance, supporting their professional growth and collaborating effectively.
