About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Business Development Representative to take responsibility for driving new business and developing the commercial part of the business. You will work with our marketing team to find and onboard commercial client while identifying opportunities to expand relationships and win new work.
We are seeking someone with proven business development experience, ideally within B2B technical solutions, energy, construction, or a related sector. You'll need to be commercially astute, confident with senior decision-makers, and able to balance relationship management with sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow relationships with key commercial accounts, acting as the primary client contact
* Develop new business opportunities with commercial clients, from initial enquiry through to signed contract
* Help to prepare and present proposals for solar PV and battery storage projects, supported by our in-house technical team
* Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to ensure proposals are technically robust and commercially viable
* Monitor market trends and contribute to the company's commercial growth strategy
* Deliver against agreed sales targets and KPIs
Who We're Looking For
* Proven experience in account management and business development in a B2B environment
* Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify new opportunities and close deals
* Confident engaging with business owners, senior managers, and other key stakeholders
* Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple clients and opportunities simultaneously
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
* Experience in the energy, renewables, or construction sector is advantageous but not essential
* Full UK driving licence required
Pay and Progression
* £70,000 - £90,000 OTE
* Commission: heavily performance based, with no cap
* Top performers have potential to earn significantly more
