Patent Secretary – Basingstoke (Hybrid)
£30,000 – £35,000
My client, a well-regarded firm within the Intellectual Property space, is seeking a Patent Secretary to join their Basingstoke office on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with at least 12 months’ secretarial experience within an IP environment who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive and professional team.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a positive, can-do attitude.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Preparing correspondence and documentation to a high standard
* Liaising with clients, agents, and internal stakeholders
* Maintaining and updating internal records and databases, including Inprotech
* Providing tailored administrative support to meet specific client requirements, including use of client portals and document management systems
* Assisting with the preparation and issuing of invoices
Key requirements:
* Minimum of 12 months’ secretarial experience within an Intellectual Property environment
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* A proactive and positive approach to work
* Experience with invoicing and Inprotech would be highly advantageous
