Primary Teacher Role in Durham
Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Primary Teacher for a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2024 at a fantastic Primary School in Durham. Applications from ECTs are welcome, with opportunities to complete part of the ECT qualification during the role.
The role involves planning and delivering lessons to full classes with support from Teaching Assistants. Key responsibilities include differentiating lessons to meet individual needs, working effectively with staff to ensure pupil progress, and managing behaviour positively and proactively. Building positive relationships with pupils and staff is essential to create an effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Planning and delivering engaging lessons that promote pupil progress.
2. Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants.
3. Managing challenging behaviour proactively and consistently.
4. Differentiating lessons to cater to diverse learning styles.
5. Using various assessment methods to monitor pupil progress.
6. Displaying enthusiasm, energy, and positivity.
7. Collaborating effectively with Teaching Assistants to enhance educational experiences.
Requirements:
1. An Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service; we can assist with processing a new one if needed).
2. QTS and UK Primary Teaching experience.
3. Experience in short, medium, and long-term planning.
4. Experience using diverse assessment methods.
5. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
6. Excellent relationship-building skills.
7. A positive, resilient attitude towards teaching.
8. Passion for teaching.
9. Strong organisational and communication skills.
10. Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
