About us ServerHouse is a regional pioneer in cloud, data centre and connectivity solutions. We have been providing ISP services since 1995 and began building our own fibre network in 2017. We build our network on demand (to order) and operate exclusively in the Solent area. Were looking for someone with experience building and maintaining fibre optic networks to help us run our small engineering team, expand and our network and deliver service to new customers. The role You will be responsible for organizing our engineers, planning, designing, safety, traffic management and keeping accurate records, planning works and ensure our high standards are maintained. It'll be a hand on job probably 4 days on the tools 1 in the office Build new spine Pull in new fibre Working on the Openreach network underground and overhead. Survey routes Rode and Rope Splice joints Internal cabling on customers premises (home and business) Provide a fast professional customer experience to our customers Fault find and problem solve. Motivate and schedule our engineers Work with us to design routes You will be provided with Company van All the tools PPE and training as required 20 days Holiday bank holidays A permanent job Potential to grow with us You should be Reliable Physically fit Willing to learn and adapt Able to work safely Have an eye for detail An excellent communicator Good problem solving skills Have experience in the field Be interested in managing staff Have an understanding of networking (WiFi, DHCP etc) Ideally accreditation's including SA001, SA002,NRSWA OS1 The position is aimed at someone with experience in the industry who would like to move away from being self employed or getting a bit more office experience, is looking to widen their skill set or gain full time employment. Being a small company our engineers are multi skilled, route finding, surveying, pulling fibre, repairing, splicing and working on customer sites so no two days are the same.
