Maintenance Engineer

£35,000 to £45,000 (dependent on experience) + overtime + benefits
A global manufacturer based in Huddersfield is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Maintenance team.
This role offers a mix of electrical and mechanical work across factory build, testing and site installation. It’s a stable business with a strong reputation, long-term projects and clear scope for development.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer
* Build and assemble electrical and mechanical equipment within a factory environment
* Carry out testing, inspections and checks prior to delivery
* Support installation and commissioning of equipment at customer sites when required
* Complete electrical wiring, mechanical fit-out and sub-assemblies to drawings and specifications
* Ensure all work is completed in line with quality, safety and cGMP standards
* Take responsibility for job documentation and quality records
* Work to production schedules and take ownership of assigned tasks
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to deliver projects on time
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer
* Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (C&G / NVQ / HNC / HND)
* Experience working within an FMCG environment
* Electrical installation experience
* Comfortable working in both factory and site-based settings
* Strong fault-finding skills
* Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
